Turkish TUT Elimi in Tchamba, Togo
Following the celebration of Aîd-Al-Adha 2019, we in AZAE are happy to announce the financial contribution of the Turkish based organisation TUT Elimi in Thcamba. Our scholarship student Domou Abdoul Karim who is currently studying in Istanbul, facilitated the interaction between AZAE and TUT Elimi by engaging the two organisations under this special occasion. After a whole month with ramadan, muslims worldwide do celebrate this holy day with prayers and of course good food. Unfortunately this is not the case for everyone if you consider various villages and areas across Tchamba. Due to financial constraints and hardships, a lot of young students and women do not have the means to actually enjoy the celebrations.
This year TUT Elimi made their way to Tchamba to support the disadvantaged with meat aid, especially financially unstable women and young students celebrating Aïd-Al-Adha. Each year the local inhabitants will gather funds themselves to purchase a bull for the religious sacrifice. However this time , TUT Elimi has been able to provide a total of 20 bulls, enough to provide for those who are in need across specific villages and vulnerable areas.
With the support from TUT Elimi, the following events have happened across designated areas:
Four (4) Iftar banquets at the Al-Huda centre to support enrolled students and local inhabitants nearby
An iftar banquet was organized at the Mohammed Bin Ismail mosque in the Worogowa district
An iftar banquet was organized at the Rahaman Mosque in the village of Saniwa
Furthermore around 300 (+) recipients have benefited from the meat aid
We are very happy for having received this meat aid and for our student Domou Abdoul Karim who has helped us establish an important connection with Turkish TUT Elimi. Hopefully this will lead to a more important relationship between AZAE and TUT Elimi in the nearest future.
